Bring on the New Year

2019 really kicked our butt, like really, really kicked out butt, but we learned a lot from it. One of the main things was what NOT to do. how important it is to get organized, and how to say NO. Among that we set a list of prioritization's that we felt were much needed not only in our Brand but moving towards our ever growing future. Family time is the best of times, and it is so easy to get lost in the whirlwind of it all, but in a business where you are your own boss you gave the authority to say neigh. Every month we will find time no matter how busy or back logged or tired, to accomplish this set of goals for 2020. So far it's been banging. 1) Take a WEEKEND day for the kids, to do 100 percent focus on them. 2) Start up doing Videography (Equipment is bought and we are excited to start rolling in the film) 3) Upgrading- Everything, from cameras to lighting, more education corses, online contracts, and easy documents, to proof galleries! 4) Streamlining our editing to work smarter and faster while keeping that wow effect so we can catch up on workload. 5)Shooting at least one time for ourselves, for a project we want to do, or a session we've been wanting to accomplish for not one to please in particular but ourselves. 6) Trying something new at least once a week, in editing, in shooting, in posing, in styling clothing, and in life. 7) More Positivity, saying No in a way that does not affect anything negatively. Believing we can do it, and actually accomplishing it- even if we nearly fail doing it. 8) Taking better care of ourselves, because a happy, healthy photographer is a more creative one. 9) Keep the blinders on, comparison is the thief of joy. Indulge in your growth, in the path that took you here, one great amazing photo to the next bad one you cringe and wonder what was I thinking. 10) When everything goes wrong, throw glitter on it, grab some wine and share a laugh with a great lover, your child or a friend, and everything will be alright.
